Trangie-Nevertire Irrigation Scheme

REINKE Centre Pivots and Lateral Moves. 

In 2013, Aquawest supplied and installed REINKE Centre Pivots and Lateral Move Irrigators to farmers involved in the Trangie/Nevertire Irrigation Scheme.

"The Trangie-Nevertire Irrigation Scheme is a recipient of funding under the Australian Governments Private Irrigation Infrastructure Operations Program (PIIOP). This program aims to acquire water entitlements resulting from water savings generated from eligible projects by private irrigation infrastructure operators that improve the efficiency and productivity of water use".

Water is supplied by the Macquarie River.

Installation included:

  • Pipeline
  • Storage Tanks
  • Stock troughs
  • REINKE Centre Pivots
  • REINKE Lateral Move Irrigators
All trenching was carried out with our RT115 Ditchwitch with a 600mm cover over pipeline.
Poly piping was manufactured and supplied by Vinidex, tanks were supplied by Clark Tanks and troughs supplied by Mid West Concrete Blayney.

Cabonne Cudal/Manildra Pivots

In 2013, Aquawest supplied and installed 2 x REINKE Centre Pivots at their sewage effluent scheme.

Water is supplied from the sewerage effluent plant.

Installation included;

  • REINKE 6 span aluminium centre pivot
  • RENKE 4 span alauminium centre pivot
  • REINKE RPS Control Box
Installation was performed by Stephen Bambrick and electrical was completed by Weiley Electrical.
The project took 6 weeks to complete and is monitored by Aquawest Pumping and Irrigation.

 

 

Nardoo Bundy Joint Water Supply Scheme

In 2009, Aquawest supplied and installed the complete system to the Department of Water and Energy specifications.

Water is supplied by two Artesion Bores.

Installation Included;

  • 45,000 Metres Pipeline
  • 37 Storage tanks
  • 90 Stock troughs

All trenching was carried out with our RT115 Ditchwitch Trencher with a 600mm cover over pipeline.

Booster pumps at Nardoo were Grundfos CR5.10 with auto timeclock control, pumping from a 154,000 litre Rhino Liner Tank.

Poly Piping was manufactured by Vinidex, tanks were supplied by Clark Tanks and troughs supplied by Yeomans from Walgett.

The system was completed in 12 weeks and the system was supervised during the construction works by our on site foreman with regular meetings with the landholders to insure a quality installation.

    

Kensington Bore Scheme

In 2009, Aquawest supplied and installed the Pipe and Cap Bore Scheme to the Department of Water and Energy specifications.

Water is supplied by gravity feed to a 210,000 litre Rhino Water Tank from which a booster pump system, consisting of 4 Grundfos pumps delivers water under pressure to various properties.

Installation included:

  • 60,000 metres pipeline 50 - 75mm
  • 52 x 22,500 litre water tanks
  • 85 x stock troughs
All trenching was carried out with our RT115 Ditchwitch to a depth of 750mm with a 600mm cover over pipeline.

All tank, trough and pump fittings were supplied in stainless steel or poly to overcome any corrosion problems with the artesion water.

Troughs were installed on concrete slabs 6.1 metres long x 2.5 metres wide and 100mm thick with F62 reinforcing mesh and finished flush with the ground.

The system allows landholders to water stock over an area of 9,000 hectares.

Poly pipe was manufactured and supplied by Vinidex, poly tanks were supplied by Clark Tanks and troughs supplied by Yeomans Walgett.
